My Gro-Clock

Do you want to see something really cool? then have a look at my new Gro-Clock !

Because now that I already have a big boy bed it was about time that I got a real clock, right? but don't you think my clock is like any other clock.... this one is special !

When I go to bed the clock is dark with stars and, as time pass by, the little stars disappear till it is time to get up and then the sun comes up with a bright light. When that happens I know that mom and dad will come by to my room and I can start the day... drink my milk... play with my cars... have breakfast before I get to the kindergarten....

I am still having a bit of a hard time staying in bed till the sun comes up (that is only because I am so much looking forward to give mom and dad a good morning kiss) but I am working on it !

Watch me !

So... what do you think about my new hair cut?

I loved my curls and everyone said I was really cute with them but, hey, spring is here so... new season... new style !

Have to say that dad was not specially happy when he saw me because he really liked me with long hair but somehow I feel much better now... more handsome.... grown up....

I even think that girls @ the kindergarten look at me with different eyes !

Manuel

Manuel. Born in Prague on Sunday March, 13 @ 12.44pm. 3,560 kg. and 50cm. My little brother.

As you can imagine these have been busy days in the house but I am pleased to report that we are very happy and doing well.

Manuel is not really doing much these days (just eating, sleeping and pooing) but I think we are going to have lot of fun together.

I am already holding him and kissing him as much as I can and I love touching his very soft skin (after washing my hands, of course :-)

Have to say that I was not very sure about what being a big brother would be like but I think I really like it. Actually, I love my little brother so much that I have already decided what my first present for him will be: I will share my blog with him !!!! So.... from now on... you will be able to follow our adventures on "Danielcito & Manuel in Prague".

I am sure the coming days are going to be full of surprises as we adjust to being a bigger family so I will keep you posted.

In the meanwhile, a big kiss for everyone and... thanks a lot for the many mails, calls, presents and good wishes !

BBB

Or, what is the same..... Big Boy Bed !!!

Yes, I have finally graduated and last week moved into my new bed. Do you like it?

Have to say that I was really happy with my crib but a Big Boy Bed... you can't really say NO to something like that !

Mom and Dad have been making some changes in preparation for the arrival of my new brother so, now that I am not a baby any more... I am getting all the cool stuff.

Do you want to see more? Welcome to my room !
  • nice wardrobes with bright and happy colors where mom stores all my cloth
  • cool stickers of cars on the wall
  • a fancy orange lamp that my madrina gave to mom as a present a looong time ago
  • my super-duper-new-bed !!!
  • nice bed linen with plenty of little animals (including penguins!) to keep me company at night
But, don't you think everything is changing... I still keep my little tigers from China. After all, a guy has to keep an eye on his property so my little friends help me with the task :-)

So, I hope you have enjoyed the tour around my room. Next time you come over for a visit you can see it in person and... now that I have more space than in the crib,... you are also welcome to nap with me in my new bed !

Not without my baby

This week I have been feeling a bit down. Looks like I got a virus so I had fever and some sores in mi mouth... ouch !

Result: I did not go to the kindergarten and slept all the time cuddling with mom and dad. But... if someone has helped me feel better these days has been my friend "the baby".

He is really nice and we play a lot together... here you have a picture of us having a nap on the sofa. I think when my new brother is here the three of us are going to be very good friends !

34 weeks... and growing !

Have I already told you how much I look forward to having my new brother with me? Can't wait to show him my car collection !

However, it looks like I still have some more time to go... mom is now 34 weeks pregnant and she is groooooooowing :-)

In the evening, when I go to the couch for my bottle of milk and she stays with me, I love getting close to her belly so that I can touch it, kiss my new "didi" and tell him how much I like him already.

It is very funny because sometimes he moves a lot... maybe he likes football more than cars? mmm, maybe that's something I need to start exploring !

In the meanwhile, I am just going to be a good boy and take care of mom. I think she is a bit tired because she can't sleep very well. She says her tummy is too big but I don't think so... I actually think that Opa's is even bigger !

In any case, I like her belly and I think she looks very cute...

3 Gallos in Pirk

I already told you guys that I missed Shanghai a lot but, lately I am also realizing that living in Prague has many advantages. One of them is that now that we are in Europe I get to see the Opas and the Abuelos much more often !

For example, last Saturday we just took the car for an hour and a half and (bbbbrrruuuummmm bbbrrruuummmm) we went to spend the day in Pirk with the Opas and uncle Herbert. We had so much fun !

So, what is Pirk? a very special place! This is the village where my great-grandparents lived maaaaany years ago. Actually, Oma and Opa also lived there when they got married so it was also papa's house for a while. He has told me so many stories about how he used to play with his brothers in the garden with their wood swords !

As you can see this place has a lot of history and I am now very happy to be part of it ! You see? here you have a picture of 3 Gallo generations in front of the house.

But that was not all.... we also went for a walk... visited a neighbor and.... guess what that neighbor has in the barn..... COWS !!!! I am generally a brave guy but I have to confess that this time I was afraid (well, only a tiny bit :-) You can only imagine when dad opened the door and I saw all those guys staring at me saying MMMMUUUUUUU at the same time.

Freaked out a bit but I think next time I will go back and talk to them a bit. In the end of the day, they produce my very much loved milk so I am sure they must be good !

Ah ! mom has also told me that in the forest next to the house you can find the best Eierschwammerl in the world ! Actually I think Opa and dad have this kind of battle between them to see who picks up more of them but... what they don't know.... is that now thay have tough competition and I am going to beat them up ! Can't wait till summer arrives :-)
