Painting lessons

Not long ago an Atelier opened right next to our street and today, Adri and I went for a painting lesson.

Did not know what to expect in the beginning and I was a bit afraid but then the teacher came by and prepared the easel with a white paper. She explained to us that all we needed to do was relax, paint and have fun. And so we did ! Our moms left and we didn't even notice !

Do you like our creations?

Our friend Albert has been going already to the Atelier for a while and told us how cool it was. Now we now it is true and can't wait to join in February !!!

And the Kings came :-)

... loaded with presents. so no wonder that Manuel and I have been so busy that we did not have time to blog during the last days. Oups, sorry about that :-)

And looks like they were very hungry and thirsty because they ate all the biscuits  and drunk all the water !!!

Que vienen los Reyes !!!

Did you know that during the night of January 5th the Three Kings run around with their camels leaving presents for all the kids who behaved well during the year?

The only thing you need to do is leave your shoes next to the fireplace together with a plate of biscuits (poor kings must be really hungry with so much work) and a bowl of water for the camels. Ah ! and don't even there to get up from bed in the middle of the night to see if the presents are there ! The kings are really smart and can see everything so if they find you awake they will take all the presents and just leave some coal !

So there you go... Manuel and I left everyone's shoes, the biscuits and the water and now we are going to bed really quick just in case the Kings decide to come by early. Can't wait till tomorrow !

Roscon de reyes

In Spain it is a tradition to eat Roscon de Reyes on January 6. Many people go to the bakery to get theirs but, as we are lucky enough to have the baker at home,... we just got our aprons on and rolled up the sleeves !

Didn't you know that abuelito is the best baker in the world? well, you just have to look at the result !

The last day of the year...

...is a great occasion to think of all the good things that have happened to us and to celebrate. Manuel and I talked about it and said thank you for our toys, for all our friends and for the many good times that we have spent this year with mom, dad, opas, abuelos, the tios,...

But New Year's Eve is also great for other things. We get to eat special things, there are fireworks and we don't go to bed till veeeeery late. Well, at least me because Manuel was really tired. So tired that not even the fireworks woke him up !!!

And it was also a special night because our friends Adri & Andrea came over with their parents for dinner and stayed all the way till midnight so that we could welcome the New Year together. As you can imagine we had to wait for a while till midnight so Adri and I pulled a little performance together for the family. Needless to say... everyone loved it :-) And then... all ready to watch the best fireworks ever. What a nice view. Adri's mom really made some fantastic pictures from the terrace !!!
