Friday afternoon

Friday afternoon and raining !!! But, hey, things are as you want to se them so... Here I am with my rain boots jumping into every puddle I find on my way home from school.

And then... Adri just came home and we are doing some finger painting but,... Hey !!! Who is stealing my biscuits ????

Post vacation adjustment

It is nice being back in Prague after such a long time but is also hard to adjust to the new routine... Going to school, no pool, wearing shoes again...

Luckily, our friends Juli and Jip came all the way from Amsterdam to spend the weekend with us. Have to confess that in the beginning I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting "small" friends and when I saw them... They are everything but small !!!!

But they are so nice that we soon became friends and had a lot of fun together. Hope we can see each other again soon !!!!

One of the things Manuel and I have enjoyed most during this vacation has been having Eli with us.

She is always great and takes good care of us but this last weeks we really had a lot of fun...

Au revoir Nice

And summer vacation came to an end.

Can't say that I am sad to go back home because I am really looking forward to seeing my friends, going to my school, playing with my trains,... but all of us have really enjoyed our time in Nice and we will definitively miss it.

Our close to three weeks of vacation have left some memorable moments so here you have some pictures...

Tough decisions

Rule number 1. If you go on vacation to France, choosing your boulangerie is about the most important task you have in front of you.

After seeing the pretty young lady serving in the boulangerie next to our house my choice was pretty clear... unfortunately, mom & dad managed to find another one with better croissants. As Swiper would say... "oh, maaaaaan" !!!

We had heated discussions every morning but, in the end, the stomach was stronger than my latino feelings and I opted for the yummy croissants too!!!

My new boulanger may not be as pretty but she is really nice and every morning she says "Bonjour Daniel" as soon as she sees me. Nothing can beat that and trips to the boulangerie are something l will definitively miss once I go back to Prague :-)

Chez Daniel

Cooking in France is something to be taken seriously. So during a trip to Vence last week I bought my first apron. Since then, I really enjoy climbing up a chair and helping mom with lunch and dinner. I am a total pro !!!

Théoule-sur-Mer

What can be better than a day at the beach? A day at the beach with friends !!!! Specially if you go to a place as gorgeous as Théoule-sur-Mer :-)

I had a great time talking to Helen, jumping from the beach platform with my friends Brian, Molly and Noah and really enjoyed seeing Caroline, Martin, Lou Lou and Lena again !!!

Already looking forward to another get together next year :-)

Nice

This morning we went with mom & Eli to Nice. And we had a great time !!!

We went there early in the morning but the beach was already packed. I was surprised to see that instead of sand there are only stones at the beach but, still, mom and I had a great swim and I loved every second of it.

Going to the market was also very nice. Manuel was really cool with my glasses and I was thrilled to see those two policemen on horses... They even let me touch !!! You see? Another reason for being a policeman when I am a big boy ;-)

Before going home we had lunch by the sea and... Ready for a nap !!!

Have to confess that the big pool looked rather intimidating in the beginning.

But, if I have my inflatable mattress and papi's strong arms around me then there is nothing to worry about !!!

Play time

Papa and I love playing this game. It is all about placing the pieces on top of the boat keeping the balance so that they don't fall.

It is really difficult !!! Luckily my skills can't be matched and I am a champ :-)

I love Dora

Thanks to my dear friend Adri who lent me her iPad I am able to watch every night a chapter of my favorite cartoons - Dora the explorer !!!

Have you ever watched it? I can totally recommend it. Today I am watching "tchu tchu" so Dora & Boots get over a mountain and across a tunnel to get to the Yellow station.

Thank you Adri !!!! Mmmm I think I know what to ask Santa for this Christmas :-)

We have enjoyed so much these last days here with tio kaki and tia fifi...

Jumping into the pool, dancing like real professionals, parking the cars in the garage, painting, playing with the "cuerda-caca"...

We are so lucky to have tío kaki and tia fifi with us for some days...

They arrived yesterday afternoon and today we had breakfast all together.

So, after such a hard day on the road, we are ready for a refreshing swim at the pool.

2. Grasse.... In style

After Gourdon we took a detour and went to visit Grasse.

Much bigger than Gourdon, it still manages to keep all its charm and the historic center is just beautiful and full of music !!!

Did you know that parfum was invented there? It goes without saying that mom spent a fair amount of time at the Fragonard shop :-)

After a while we found a quiet corner to get some food and an orange juice. Being a tourist can also be exhausting !
